| Cable
Car Classics recently delivered trolleys to two
clients. Some background on those clients is
listed below: HINO MOTORS/TOYOTA
TSUSHO
Hino
Motors is a division of Toyota Japan,
specializing in quality truck manufacturing.
Cable Car Classics, Inc., worked closely with
Hino for over two years on the design and
integration of a Hino bus chassis and a Cable Car
Classics, Inc., Golden Gate body. The end results
of that collaboration are pictured below. These
right-hand drive trolleys were delivered to Japan
in late 1998/early 1999 and were an instant hit
with passengers. Features built into these
trolleys included plush tour-type seating, a
sunken center aisle, Hino 215 horsepower diesel
engines and, of course, the traditional quality
woodwork and excellent finish that have come to
be known as the Cable Car Classics, Inc.,
trademark. Hino and Cable Car Classics, Inc.,
continue to work together in an effort to bring
the best of both worlds to the Japanese transit
market: Japanese vehicle engineering and American
craftmanship.
